Born in 1974, earlier this year she graduated from the Music Academy in Wrocław, where she studied composition with Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil. She also graduated from the Department of Spanish Studies at Wrocław University. She participated in several international courses for composers, working under the guidance of such household names as Cristóbal Halffter, Mauricio Sotelo, Toshio Hosokawa and Louis Andriessen. Her works have been performed in Poland ('Musica Polonica Nova' Festival in Wrocław, the 'Warsaw Autumn', 14th Days of Music by Cracow Composers), Spain (6th Festival 'Jóven de Música Clásica' in Segovia, 5th Convenci-n Internacional de Percusi-n in Majorca) and Mexico (24th Foro Internacional de Música Nueva 'Manuel Enríquez'). In the academic year 2001/2 she held a grant from the Minister of Culture.

Selected works: La Jerusalem celeste for soprano and solo alto, female choir, flute, string trio and percussion (1997), Let My Soul Glorify the Lord for a cappella mixed choir (1998), Canto del Amor for cello and marimba (1999), Melancholy for chamber orchestra (1999), Lutoslawiana for flute, clarinet, violin, piano and percussion (2000), Wołanie w ciszę (Shouting into Silence) for solo clarinet (2000), A Prayer of Life for a cappella mixed choir (2001), La soledad sonora for tape (2001), Out of Time for flute, clarinet, violin and cello (2001), Entre el cielo y el mar - Lienzos de arena for marimba and tape (2002), Flames for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, piano and percussion (2002), Sinfonia Spiritualis for large symphony orchestra (2002).

Out of Time is an attempt to communicate the idea of unlimited time, a time in which everything develops slowly and gradually up to the point of losing sense of the passing of time. The musical material evolves from the note C, which gradually expands, first through quarter-tones and then through semi-tones and minor thirds. Once successive stages of the development have been completed, the original idea returns (everything begins and ends on the note C, which assumes in this piece a symbolic meaning).
The piece was premiered in May 2002, during the 24th Foro Internacional de Música Nueva 'Manuel Enríquez' in Mexico.
