Born in 1961 in Warsaw, he studied
composition with Włodzimierz Kotoński and piano
improvisation with Szabolcs Esztényi at the Music Academy
in Warsaw. He has participated in courses for composers in
Darmstadt, Kazimierz-Dolny, Patras and Dartington. In 1986-87
he studied electronic music and misi systems in London
thanks to a grant from Witold Lutosławski.
He is a prizewinner of the Young Composers' Competition
organized by the Polish Composers' Union (1988) and the
National Composition Competition for a Piece for Classical
Guitar (1995).
He collaborates with the Polish Radio Experimental Studio.
He also writes incidental music for the theatre and film
music. He lives and works in Warsaw as a free-lance
composer.
