Tomáš Ondrůšek was born in 1964. He
graduated from the Conservatory in Nuremberg and the Music
Academy in Stuttgart. He is a member of the Stuttgart
Percussion Ensemble and the Prague New Music Orchestra 'Agon'.
He held a grant from the Studienstiftung des Deutschen
Volkes. He specializes in the performance of contemporary
music. He has collaborated with such composers as Martin
Smolka, Helmut Lachenmann, Peter Kofroň, Tibor Szemzö, M.
Steinauer and Peter Kotik. He has prepared many Czech and
Russian premieres of works by Lachenmann, Xenakis and
Stockhausen. He has performed at such prestigious festivals
as the 'Prague Spring', the International Percussion Days in
Prague, the Donaueschinger Musiktage, 'Audio Art' in Cracow,
'Oggimusica' in Lugano, the Biennale in St. Petersburg, and
Musica Ficta' in Vilnius. |
