Piotr Bober graduated from the State Secondary Music School in Rybnik (Silesia), where he studied the guitar with Marceli Kubica (1999). He is now a student of Alina Gruszka at the Music Academy in Katowice. He has attended master classes given by A. Swete, J. Eötvös, C. Marchione, T. Sasaki, P. Bellinati, and S. Kordenko.
Last year he won Second Prize (the first was not awarded) at the 14th International Guitar Competition in Esztergom, Hungary.
His honours also include Second Prize at the National Guitar Review in Tychy (1993), First Prize at the Regional Auditions of Music School Students in Cieszyn (1999) and Second Prize at the International Guitar Encounters in Sanok (1999). In 1999 he held a grant from the Minister of Culture and Art.
