Anne Faulborn studied harpsichord and organ
at the Amsterdam Conservatory. She is presently continuing
her harpsichord studies at the same conservatory under the
guidance of Annelie de Man, focusing on the contemporary
repertoire. She has attended courses in live electronics
with Jos Zwaanenburg and in carnatic rhythms with Rafa'l
Reina.
Last year she performed in Amsterdam's Ysbreker a programme
for harpsichord, electronics, video and voice with
compositions by Mauricio Kagel, Werner Heider and Yannis
Kyriakides and new works by Matthias Kadar, Barbara Okma and
Gustavo Trujillo. Her programme 'Harpsichord and Tape',
featuring pieces by Ton Bruynèl, Kaija Saariaho and
Anke Brouwer (who composed Zeppelin specially for Faulborn),
will soon be released on cd. She performs regularly with
various orchestras, such as the Dutch Radio Symphony
Orchestra under Neil Stulberg (Symphony No. 2 by H.
Dutilleux) and the Dutch Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under
Alexander Lazarev (Schnittke's Symphony No. 5). Her articles
on contemporary harpsichord music have been published in the
Dutch magazine Het Clavecimbel. |
