Katarzyna Jankowska is a graduate of the
Academy of Music in Warsaw, where she studied the piano with
Victor Mierzhanov and Irina Rumiantseva (diploma with
distinction). She also studied chamber music with Jerzy
Marchwiñski. She perfected her skills at the Radio Chamber
School in Edsberg, where she collaborated with Kurt Levin,
Frans Helmerson and Greta Erickson. She is an associate
professor in the Chamber Music Department of the Warsaw
Music Academy.
She performs regularly with prominent singers (Urszula
Kryger, Jerzy Artysz, Krzysztof Szmyt, Zofia Kilanowicz,
Urszula Jankowska) and cellists.
She has performed at numerous prestigious festivals in
Poland, most European countries, as well as in Asia and
Africa. She has appeared as an accompanist in over fifty
competitions, winning numerous awards for her artistic
skills at the Johannes Brahms Competition in Hamburg and the
Stanis¸aw Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw.
She has made recordings for radio and television, as well as
for various labels in many countries, including a cd for
Pony Canyon (Japan). |
