Włodzimierz Kiniorski
Born in 1951 in Zagnańsk nr. Kielce, he is a composer,
saxophone player and multi-instrumentalist. He has won
numerous awards as a soloist and member of jazz groups at
festivals and competitions including 'Jazz on the Odra',
'Jazz Juniors', and the Krzysztof Komeda Competition. He has
given concerts and made recordings with Norman Grant, Sony
Robertson, Twinkle Brothers, the Trebunie Tutki and Kinior
Orchestra, 'Young Power', 'Free Cooperation', paff, 'Izrael',
'Tiebreak', 'Mamadou Diouf and Kinior Orchestra', ki-no
(Kinior-Nowakowski), 'Plastic Bag', and 'Graal'.
He has written soundtracks to documentary films (Zdzisław
Beksiński, Dalai Lama, Andrzej Strumiłło).
He has realised multimedia projects with Krzysztof Knittel,
Marcin Krzyżanowski, Piotr Bikont, Marek Chołoniewski and
Paweł Dudziński.
He has collaborated with several drama companies such as the
Witkacy Theatre in Zakopane, 'Klinika Lalek' in Wolimierz,
the Powszechny in Warsaw, and the Bücklein Company in
Cracow. He has been awarded the Golden Mask for his
incidental music for the theatre. He is the initiator of the
'Flap People' Festival in Łódź. As a musician he has
participated in the recording of several dozen cds. His
discography comprises four cds featuring his own music
recorded on various labels including emi. |
