Was born in Waiblingen (Germany) in 1962. Having gained
broad experience in music, painting and dance, in 1986 she entered the
Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen, where she studied rhythm, piano and music
theory, and subsequently (199295) also composition with Nicolaus A.
Huber. As a grant holder from the Berlin Akademie der Künste she won
First Prize at the International Composers1 Competition of the New Music
Biennale in Hanover (1997). She also received an award for young artists
of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia (1998).
