Rüdiger Bohn

Studied at the High Music Schools in Cologne and Düsseldorf , conducting with V. Wagenheim and piano with
D. Levine. He also took part in the masterclasses led by Leonard Bernstein, John Elliot Gardiner and Sergiu Celibidache.
Bohn worked as the artistic director of Tübingen Sinfonietta (1988­1996), conductor of the Basel Theatre orchestra (1991­1994), as well as a principal conductor of the Lübeck Theatre orchestra (1996­2002). Since 1997 he has served as musical director of the Zeitgenössischen Oper Berlin where he conducted performances of works by G. Battistelli, Feldman, Henze, A. Hölszky, Kagel, Martin, Reimann and Sciarrino.
He also appears on the concert platform, conducting such orchestras as Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della rai, orchestras of the Teatro Communale Bologna and Klangforum Wien.
