Started taking violin lessons at a very young age. Her
first teacher was Eugenia UmiYska. Having graduated from the State Higher
School of Music in Kraków, she attended a two-year master course under
the guidance of David Oistrakh at the Moscow Conservatory. She also
participated in the master classes given by Ruggiero Ricci. She is a
prizewinner of many international competitions, including the Wieniawski
Competition in PoznaY (1967, Third Prize), the Curci Competition in Naples
(1969, Second Prize), in Geneva (1970, Second Prize), in Munich (1975,
Third Prize), and the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels (1976,
