Started taking violin lessons at a very young age. Her first teacher was Eugenia UmiYska. Having graduated from the State Higher School of Music in Kraków, she attended a two-year master course under the guidance of David Oistrakh at the Moscow Conservatory. She also participated in the master classes given by Ruggiero Ricci. She is a prizewinner of many international competitions, including the Wieniawski Competition in PoznaY (1967, Third Prize), the Curci Competition in Naples (1969, Second Prize), in Geneva (1970, Second Prize), in Munich (1975, Third Prize), and the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels (1976, Silver Medal). She has
a diverse repertoire, spanning music from the Baroque to the present day. Foreign tours have taken her to most of the European countries, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mexico and Venezuela. She participated in prestigious festivals, including those in Salzburg, Bordeaux, Sofia and Istanbul.
She has sat on the juries of international competitions in Tokyo, Munich, New York, PoznaY and Odense. She has recorded over 300 works for various labels, including Deutsche Grammophon, Philips, Polskie Nagrania and Wifon.
She 1972 she has been in charge of a violin class at the Music Academy in Kraków. In 1989 she was appointed Professor.
