de ereprijs specializes in the performance of new music, particularly by Dutch composers, along with major works of the 20th century. The group maintains strong contact with a number of foreign composers, which has resulted in numerous tours, participation in international festivals of new music and a broad repertoire which includes many works composed specially for De Ereprijs.
The group has continually explored new and innovative elements in composed and improvised new music. It participates in projects combining music with various art disciplines including film, dance, theatre, the visual arts and architecture.
De Ereprijs is a 15-member orchestra (wind instruments, percussion, piano and electric guitar). Its tone colour and cast of musicians is easily adapted to different compositions, often surprising the public.
