Gennady Bezzubenkov

Born in 1949, graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Leningrad. He has been a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Peters-burg since 1989. His repertoire includes leading bass roles in operas by Russian and foreign composers. He has sung in many productions recorded on video and audio discs (Prokofiev1s War and Peace and The Fiery Angel, Tchaikovsky1s Yolanta, Glinka1s Ruslan and Ludmila, and Rimsky-Korsakov1s Sadko). He has performed extensively abroad. He is the recipient of the OGolden Spotlight1 Prize from the City of St Petersburg (1996) for the best male singer.
