Graduated from the Music Academy in Kraków where he
studied the piano with Tadeusz mudziYski and chamber music with Maria
Szmyd-Dormus. He perfected his skills at master classes given by Ryszard
Bakst and Wiener Schubert Trio.
His honours include Second Prizes at the Chamber Music Competition in ¸óde
(1992) and the Mozart Competition in Kraków (1991). He has also received
the golden badge from the Mayor of Kraków at the OPrimus inter Pares1
Competition.
S1awomir Cierpik performs regularly in Poland and abroad. He collaborates
with leading Polish soloists. He has made recordings for radio, television
as well as on various labels. He is an assistant professor at the Chamber
Music Department of the Music Academy in Kraków.
