Studied clarinet with Ludwik Kurkiewicz, Miros1aw PokrzywiYski and R. Go1´biowski at the Warsaw Music Academy (diploma with distinction). He perfected his skills on a German Government grant at the Hochschule des Saarlandes für Musik und Theater (with E. Brunner). He also held a scholarship from the European Mozart Academy. He won First Prize at the Karol KurpiYski Clarinet Competition in W1oszakowice (Poland). He is also a prizewinner of the Competition of 20th-Century Music in Warsaw.
Artur Pachlewski has developed a fine career as both soloist and chamber musician in Poland and abroad. His recent appearances have included the Festival of the Mozart Foundation in Prague, the Lutos1awski Forum in Warsaw, Warsaw Musical Encounters, 20th-Century Music Festival of the German radio station sr (under artistic leadership of the Kronos Quartet), as well as tours of France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland and Britain.
Artur Pachlewski performs regularly with the Concerto Avenna Warsaw Soloists, Camerata Vistula Ensemble and the Wilanów Quartet, the Festival OMusic in the 21st Century1 organized by Luciano Berio, the OWarsaw Autumn1, as well as tours of France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland and Britain.
Artur Pachlewski has performed with the English countertenor Michael Chance, the bbc Singers, the Wilanów Quartet, Ensemble Ricercare and Concerto Avenna. He is the founder and director of the ensemble Consonare per Varsavia, with which it recorded
a cd for the dux label.
