born in Damascus in 1975, he began his musical education
by studying the violin with R. Sukar in his native town. He is a graduate of
the Music Academy in Kraków where he studied composition with Zbigniew
Bujarski. He won First Prize at the Adam Didur Compo-sers’ Competition
in Sanok in 1997 (for Two Songs for soprano and string orchestra). In 1999
he participated in the International Musik-werkstatt Buckow in Germany. His
works have been performed in Poland, Germany, Egypt, Tunisia, France, Italy,
the United States, Armenia, Syria and Holland (by Nieuw Ensemble in
Amsterdam).

Computer Music No. 1 is my first composition for tape. It
was realized in the Electroacoustic Music Studio of the Music Academy in
Kraków under the supervision of Magdalena Długosz.
