born in 1976 in Płock, studied in 1995–2000 at the Music Academy in Kraków (cello with Zdzisław Łapiński and composition with Bogusław Schaeffer). He continued his compositional studies with Marek Chołoniewski (1996) and Lidia Zielińska (1997). He attended courses in the performance of contemporary music in Kraków, Stuttgart, Avignon (2000, 2001, run by Anssi Kartunenn and Walter Grimmer; organized by ircam) and Gdańsk (supervised by Adam Kaczyński, 1998). In 2002 he took part in intuitive music workshops run by Krzysztof Knittel in Kraków. He held a grant from the Płock Foundation.
In 2000–03 he was in charge of the Institute of New Art of the ‘Performer’ Theatre in Zamość and organized the ‘Fortalicje’ Festival of Intuitive Art.
As a member of the saluluekip duo (together with Anna Jędrzejewska) he performed many times in Kraków and Zamość, at the ‘Feta’ Festival in Gdańsk (1998), the ‘Altstadtherbst’ Festival in Düsseldorf (2002) and the 9th Congress of Performance Art in Berlin (2003).
He also pursues a career in classical music, appearing in recitals (works for solo cello by j. s. Bach at the ‘Fortalicje’ Festival in 1999; with Markijan Popil during the Days of Music in Zamość in 2001; recital during the 6th Penderecki International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Kraków, 2002).
