born in 1971, is an accomplished accordionist and bandoneonist. He studied with Jerzy Jurek at the Music Academy in Warsaw (diploma in 1995). Thanks to a French government grant, he continued his education with Max Bonnay at the Conservatoire Paul Dukas in Paris (1996–97). He has attended masterclasses given by Friedrich Lips, Mogens Ellegaard, Mie Miki, Teodoro Anzellotti, Matti Rantanen and Vyatcheslav Siemionov. He won First Prizes at the competitions in Katowice (1993), Castelfidardo (1997) and Paris (1997). He participated in the Festival of Prizewinners of Music Competitions in Bydgoszcz (1994), the Lutosławski Forum in the Warsaw Philharmonic (1996), ‘Musica Polonica Nova’ in Wrocław (1995, 2000), ‘Bravo Maestro’ in K±¶na Dolna, Poland (2002, 2003), the Festival of Accordion Music in Kragujevac, Serbia (1997), and the ‘Bayan Players’ Festival in Moscow (2002). He has performed as both accordionist and bandoneonist with the Baltic, Pomeranian and Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestras. His debut cd with works by Astor Piazzola (Sony Classical) won the ‘Fryderyk’ Award of the Polish Phonographic Academy in the chamber music category (2003).
