Wiola Białk graduated with distinction from the Music
Academy in Katowice. She held grants from the Ministry of Culture and Art
and the City of Chorzów. While still
a student she appeared as Cinderella in Katarzyna Gaertner’s The
Enchanted Ball in the Silesian Opera in Bytom. She is now
a soloist in the Music Theatre in Gliwice (Adele in Johann Strauss’s
Die Fledermaus, Irene Molloy in Jerry Herman’s Hello, Dolly). She
recently sang the role of Bronislava in Carl Millocker’s Der
Bettelstudent (Silesian Opera in Bytom).
She has also developed a career as a concert singer, performing in oratorios,
cantatas and chamber works both in Poland and abroad. She works closely with
the ‘Camerata Silesia’ Soloists’ Ensemble.
