Pavel Karmanov

 

Born in 1970, he graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow in 1995. His works have been performed at the Oleg Kagan Memorial Festival (Moscow, 1992), the Moscow Autumn Festival, the Dialogue Festival (Moscow, 1996), Alternativa Festival, the International Music Biennale in Zagreb (1994) as well as at venues in Russia, including the Moscow Conservatory and the Central Home of Composers. Among the soloists who have performed his music are Yuri Bashmet, Alexei Lubimov, Nazar Kozhuhar, and Alexei Goribol. Music for TV and cinema productions constitutes an important part of Karmanov’s career.

Get In!!
The piece was commissioned by the Seattle Chamber Players. It is dedicated to my newly born son Makar. It’s his welcome to the world.
